Washington Wizards Draft Prospects: University of Colorado Forward Cody Williams

Willams' height is good for his position and will bode well for him in the NBA.

Averaging 14.1 points per game this season in nine games played, WIlliams has shown an ability to create his own shot in the lane and in transition.

At the rim he can give multiple different looks, finish in different ways, and can draw a lot of fouls.

But when it comes to jump shots, he hasn't quite yet shown the ability to knock them down at a high rate.

Most of his shots are coming in the paint and he is making a solid 56 percent from the field.

But from outside Williams isn't a great volume guy as he has only taken 15 three-pointers but has shown he can make them as he is shooting 40 percent from deep.

Defensively, Williams has great length which gives him the ability to recover well when beat or for help defense, contest jump shots, and also block shots.

Having six blocked shots on the year he has a chance to be a great rim defender in driving guards.

He is a superior athlete in college and can hold his own on that side of the floor but has yet to show he can keep up with more agile guards which could limit his defensive versatility at the NBA level.

Williams would fit well on the Wizards team if it were to move on from forward Kyle Kuzma and if he can continue to improve defensively and show off his playmaking this year, he could make his case to be the next part of this rebuild.
